A facial is a skincare treatment that typically involves cleansing, exfoliating, extracting impurities, and nourishing the skin. It aims to improve your skin’s appearance and health.
It’s advisable to arrive with a clean face, free of makeup and any other products. Refrain from using any Retinal and any aggressive exfoliants at least 2-3 days prior to your visit. Be ready to discuss your skincare concerns and goals with your “Skin-Influencer”.
It’s usually best to avoid harsh exfoliants, retinoids, and strong chemical peels in the days leading up to your facial to prevent skin irritation.
Yes, but inform your esthetician about any skin sensitivities or conditions like rosacea, acne, or allergies beforehand so they can tailor the facial to your needs.
The duration of a facial can vary, but it usually lasts between 60 to 90 minutes. Some express facials can be shorter, around 30 minutes.
After a facial, avoid touching your face and exposing it to direct sunlight. Our “Skin-Influencer” will provide guidance on post-facial care.
It’s best to wait a few hours before applying makeup to allow your skin to fully absorb the benefits of the facial. Use clean makeup brushes and avoid heavy or pore-clogging products.
Most facials have little to no downtime. However, you may experience temporary redness or sensitivity, which usually subsides within a few hours.
Follow your “Skin-Influencer’s” recommendations for post-facial skincare, which may include using gentle, hydrating products and avoiding harsh treatments.
The frequency of facials depends on your skin type and concerns. Generally, a monthly facial can help maintain healthy skin, while those with specific issues may require more frequent sessions initially
Facials are generally safe, but there can be minor side effects like redness or breakouts, what we like to call “purging”, especially if extractions were performed. Skin purging simply means that your skin is eliminating – on turbodrive – unwanted material that causes spots, pushing everything to the surface to speed up your skin’s recovery. This usually resolves within a day or two.
Yes, you can return to your regular skincare routine, but it’s essential to use products that align with your skin’s current needs, as advised by your esthetician.
Body waxing, it’s recommended to have hair around 1/4 inch (about 6mm) long. Visually, longer than a “grain of rice”.
It’s best to avoid waxing if your skin is sunburned, irritated, or has open wounds. Wait until your skin has healed before scheduling a waxing appointment.
Waxing is generally safe during pregnancy. Your “Skin-Influencer” will position you to make you as comfortable as possible While nursing, your skin may be more sensitive, so inform your Skin-InFluencer.
Gentle exfoliation a day or two before waxing can help remove dead skin cells, making the waxing process more effective. However, avoid aggressive exfoliation on the day of the waxing appointment.
Yes! We use our “pain before pleasure” system. Where we wax your face or brows prior to your facial.
SKinFluent only uses a “Hard” fragrance free, hypoallergenic, low temperature wax.
It’s advisable to avoid direct sun exposure for at least 24-48 hours after waxing, as your skin may be more sensitive to UV rays. Use sunscreen to protect your skin.
It’s recommended to wait 24 hours before taking a hot shower or bath after waxing to allow your skin to recover. Warm water is preferable for the first day.
For 24-48 hours after waxing, avoid activities that may irritate the skin, such as saunas, hot tubs, pools and strenuous exercise. Also, refrain from applying perfumed products, sex, tight clothing, or exfoliating.
Exfoliate regularly to prevent ingrown hairs. You can use a gentle scrub or an exfoliating glove. Avoid wearing tight clothing that can trap hairs beneath the skin.
The timing for your next waxing appointment varies depending on individual hair growth rates, but it’s typically recommended every 4-6 weeks. Your waxing technician can provide personalized advice.
It’s fine to apply a fragrance-free, non-comedogenic lotion or moisturizer to soothe the skin after waxing, but avoid products with harsh chemicals or fragrances.
Not at this time. We do not perform Brazilian waxes on clients with male genitalia.
Some redness and minor discomfort are normal after waxing. Applying aloe vera gel or a cold compress can help soothe the skin.
Remember that everyone’s skin is different, so it’s essential to communicate with your “Skin-Influencer” about any concerns or questions you may have before or after your waxing session.
It is an effective and safe exfoliation treatment. It requires the use of a sterile, surgical scalpel to gently remove the top-most layer of dead skin along with the fine, vellus hair (aka peach fuzz). It boosts the effects of skincare products while making the skin look and feel smoother and also reducing the appearance of acne scars. It removes facial hair that can trap dirt and oils- making your makeup go on much smoother.
It is a proprietary infused collagen mask originally created for burn victims. It plumps and smooths fine lines and wrinkles while giving a boost of collagen into the face and neck.

LED Therapy (light therapy) helps boost collagen production and treats existing acne. It is painless and relaxing and helps plump the skin.
